Market Profile Trading is fun!

Welcome to AskMarketProfile which is an educational market profile trading site and emini trading room for the beginner to professional market profile trader. First let’s define the two commonly used market profile and the auction market theory terms. Market Profile is a self-adapting barometer or indicator which precisely mirrors the market activity in real time. This profile takes the shape of a statistical bell curve that plots time on one axis and price on the other axis thus giving the trader a visual picture of the market auction process. The Auction Market Theory which has been around since the conception of mankind and is the bed rock for trading any market is the auction participants bidding at specific prices for that trading vehicle. In the auction market theory you have buyers and sellers in the short, medium, and long term time frames placing bids or ask, thus resulting in a real auction that creates an evolving bell curve for the trader to accurately interpret. The key is to accurately interpret the profile for there is no better indicator than the market itself. By viewing the short, medium, and long term market profiles a trader will see that the market data is not random as 95% of all traders view data, but is now very predictable. This is the trading stage that the trader must have and keep an open mind for now they will start viewing the markets as an auction that will tell the trader what price is doing, where price is going, when it is going, and why it is going.

All standard momentum, trend, oscillator indicators will not interpret the auction within the market and will absolutely lag price. Remember, when yourself and 95% of all traders are losing money and spending their nights battling over the so called random walk in the markets you the day trader or position trader should take market profile trading serious for a minimum of six months. Standard indicators such as pivot points and moving averages and Fibonacci Trading levels have not been around since the conception of mankind, but the auction process has been. This alone should convince you that there is a better way of trading than the egotistical ways of self-proclaimed system and indicator guru’s who try to convince you that they have re-invented the wheel of trading the markets. Most Market Profile Traders did start out as Indicator Traders and then transitioned to a Profile Trader. Almost all Market Profile traders were initially scared of death of the Various Market Profile Charts or actually the Market Profile Indicator that reads the following:

Value Areas – Point of Controls – Initial Balances – Volume at Price – Single Prints – Naked Point of Controls – Naked Value Areas – Naked Initial Balances – Rotations – Market Brackets – High Volume Nodes – Low Volume Nodes – Market Delta – Auction Market Theory – Trend Days – Neutral Days – Normal Days – Double Distribution Days – Normal Variation Days – Range Extension – Emini Day Trading – SP 500 – Eminitradingstrategies – Value Zone Trading – Profile Traders – Emini Trading System – Emini Software – Emini Trading Room
